CityU Alumni Gathering @ Chengdu
Over 70 CityU representatives, guests and alumni joined the reunion dinner for which CityU Convocation was the event partner.
Mr Herman Hu Shao-ming, CityU Council Chairman, relayed the University’s latest developments and achievements in his welcoming address.
Professor Way Kuo, CityU President, shared that he was impressed by the enthusiastic response of alumni residing in Chengdu and appealed for their continuous support.
Three devoted alumni, Mr Li Weidong, Ms Wu Ruobing and Mr Yi Yong, have taken up the role of CityU Alumni Ambassadors, committing themselves to uniting CityU alumni in Chengdu.
Other University representatives in attendance included Mr Andrew Fan Ka-fai, Distinguished Alumni and Council member; Ms Kathy Chan Yin-ling, Associate Vice-President (Development and Alumni Relations); Ms Heronie Mok Wing-yee, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Mainland Affairs Office); Professor Robert Li Kwok-yiu, Associate Dean of College of Science and Engineering; Professor Julie Li Juan, Head of the Department of Marketing; Dr Wang Yong, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Finance; Ms Antonia Yeung Yu-hung, Director of the Alumni Relations Office; and special guest Dr Ronan Stephan, Group Scientific Director of Compagnie Plastic Omnium.
In addition to the event at Chengdu, the University organised alumni reunions in Beijing, Xian, Xichang, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, etc.
