New boat christening marks 20th anniversary of CityU Rowing Team

The Rowing Team of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) celebrated its 20th anniversary at a New Boat Christening Ceremony on 24 May.

 

Officiating at the ceremony, Professor Way Kuo, CityU President, showed his support for the team and gave his best wishes for the team’s continued success. Also officiating at the ceremony was Dr Raymond Chan Kwok-hong, Dean of Students.

 

The three new boats—1x women’s four, 1x men’s two, and 1x men’s single—were named “城槳” (official English name to be confirmed, with Chinese name literally meaning the “city’s paddle”).
