Choosing furnishing for hostel rooms

More than 50 staff and students were invited by the Student Development Services to visit a mockup of a room in the student hostels in late October.

The tours were a consultation exercise to gather views on the choice of soft furnishings such as curtains, chairs and desk lamps. To date, Phase I of the student hostels, with a total of 806 bed-spaces, and a multi-purpose hall, is due for completion in March 2002.
