With the generous support from Thetos Foundation Hong Kong, the “Thetos Young Scholar Award Scheme” (the Scheme) is established at CityU to encourage early-stage scholars to strive for academic and research excellence. Supported by an endowment fund, the Scheme will run perpetually and award two outstanding recipients annually with each awardee receiving a cash prize and a research grant. Hong Kong Solicitor Mr Charles TO, Chairman of Thetos Foundation, is hopeful that this new initiative is able to foster promising ideas with the potential to benefit society, and is also glad that the University shares this unwavering commitment to supporting innovation by our young academics.
