Professor Herman Hu Shao-ming, SBS, JP, Chairman of Ryoden Development Limited, was appointed as Co-Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the CityU Foundation. Over the years, Professor Hu has had strong ties with CityU. He is a former Council Chairman (2012-2017) and an Honorable Advisor of the Advisory Committee of HK Tech 300. A staunch supporter of CityU, he is an Honorary Patron of the CityU Foundation, the Founding Patron of the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery, and was Co-Chairman of the Steering Committee of the “United, We Soar” Campaign (2014 – 2022).

“I have a long-standing relationship with CityU and have witnessed its rapid rise in the world rankings. The University has continued to discover and innovate beyond all boundaries, launching a number of groundbreaking projects and contributing greatly to the betterment of society. I will work closely with CityU and other members of the Board of Governors to support the University’s continued drive forward and efforts to raise extra resources to support further advancement of the University,” Professor Hu said.
