Nano and Advanced Materials Institute (NAMI)
The appointee will work on the development of polyester and rubber related materials. He or she will work in a dynamic team which is responsible for:
• Project implementation, including experimental design, polymer synthesis, characterization, performance testing and analysis;
• Material formulations development related to polyester and rubber;
• Prepare project progress reports, meeting slides, SOPs and related documents;
• Work closely with project sponsors and other project related parties;
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
• Master or PhD degree in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related disciplines;
• Experience of working on rubber formulation is preferred;
• Experience of working on polymers especially polyester is highly preferred;
• Consolidated expertise in analytical instruments such as NMR, FTIR, GPC is a must;
• Hard-working and capability of working independently and under pressure;
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills;
• A good team player with strong problem-solving and communications skills; creative in generating/incubating new ideas; and
• Good command of English and Chinese, articulate report writing/presentation skills as well as abilities in literature/patent search.
