Curriculum design

Students participating in the joint degree programme will spend their first year of study at CityU, then their second and third years of study at NTU, and return to CityU for the final year of study. By the end of four years of study, students will be awarded two graduation certificates: one conferred by the CityU and one by the NTU upon fulfilling the degree requirements stipulated by the respective universities.

Eligibility

You are eligible if :

  • You are studying the 4-year degree majoring in Civil Engineering; AND
  • You meet the minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.30 or above; AND
  • You have completed at least 30 credit units in their first year of study at home institution before commencing their study at host institution. Completed credits must include courses specified by the College and ACE for the first-year curriculum; AND
  • You meet one of the English requirements; AND

    For admission to NTU, the CityU students have to meet either one of the following minimum English language requirements:

    • TOEFL: 79 on the internet-based test, OR
    • IELTS: overall band score of 6.5
  • You meet all the admission requirements (including but not limit to any specific requirement set by individual department) of the host university.

Application

  1. Email invitation will be sent to eligible students.
  2. Shortlisted students will be invited for the selection interview.

Financial

CityU students under this joint programme will pay tuition fee to the home institution irrespective of their study location. Eligible students may apply for scholarships at both institutions on their own.
