Research Opportunities


(1) PhD Students

PhD student positions are available for admission in September 2025. Highly-motivated individuals who are interested to contribute to the outlined research projects are strongly encouraged to apply. The Lee Laboratory is an interdisciplinary research group so expertise in areas such as microbiology, molecular biology, biological sciences, bioinformatics, environmental sciences, and various engineering fields are welcome!

(2) Postdoctoral Fellows

Our research group is currently recruiting a number of Postdoctoral Fellows who have expertise in the following areas:

  1. metagenomics or bioinformatics
  2. metabolic engineering or molecular biology
  3. genome-scale modelling

Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. in chemical engineering, metabolic engineering, bioengineering, microbiology, molecular biology, systems biology, bioinformatics or a related discipline. Proficient oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team are essential.
