The Chinese Garden of the University, which stretches along Tat Chee Avenue, is an oasis of the campus. The Garden area together with the Hillside Trail is open to students, staff and the general public for leisure walks and physical exercises.

A Tree Inventory and Management System (TIMS) was created. Details of each tree on campus including botanical name, Chinese name, diameter, breast, height (DBH), health condition, tree form, amenity value, maintenance record, felling record, etc. are being collected. The database will serve for tree management and maintenance purposes, and eventually for green education and public interest.
