Aims

  1. AimsIntended Learning Outcomes1. To promote inter-hall interaction, hall spirit, sportsmanship and exchange between local and non-local residents, which are built around the core values of friendship, respect and cooperation.

  2. To provide residents with learning opportunities through organizing and joining the events.

  3. To recognize the contributions of Prof. Edmond Ko (our former Vice-President, Undergraduate Education) to charting the directions in establishing and developing student residences.



Intended Learning Outcomes

By the end of the inter-hall events, student organizers and participants will be able to:

  1. apply multicultural awareness and effective skills in interacting and co-operating with others of different backgrounds;

  2. reflect on the importance of sportsmanship and demonstrate qualities of sportsmanship;

  3. demonstrate teamwork competency through forming cross-cultural hall teams, deciding and applying strategies in competing inter-hall events;

  4. apply their organization, communication, leadership and project management skills in coordinating the events through serving as team captains, team managers and Event Coordinators and helpers;

  5. relate cultural diversity and multi-cultural skills by working and contributing well in international teams;

  6. apply problem solving and conflict resolution skills in dealing with complaints and disagreement;

  7. demonstrate a better understanding of the community at large.
