A Six-Step Model to Produce
Instructional Video for Flipped Classroom
Home

Introduction

Since class time is always limited, the flipped classroom model provides a way to alter the traditional pattern of learning and teaching. Basic knowledge acquisition can be carried out by individual students with online learning materials prior to the class. By making lecture materials available on-demand as web videos, students can personalize learning according to their preferences. As a result, more class time can be spent on active learning-enriched activities. Higher-level learning outcomes can be achieved during in-class learning activities.

City University of Hong Kong has produced this series of animations to provide you with some technical and pedagogical tips to build your own video-based materials.

Check out this six-step model to guide you through the production and application of instructional videos for use in the flipped classroom approach.
