Congratulations to Professor Tianxiang HE for his appointment as the President of The Asian Pacific Copyright Association (APCA)
On 1st September 2024, The Asian Pacific Copyright Association (APCA) announced that Professor Tianxiang HE has been elected by the executive committee of the APCA as the President for two years.
The Asian Pacific Copyright Association (APCA) was established on 15 November 2011 and currently has members from Australia, Peoples Republic of China, Fiji, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Nauru, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, Vanuatu and Vietnam.
The objectives of APCA include the following:
To provide a forum for discussion on copyright and related rights;
To promote, through legislation, dialogue and education, the maintenance and development of copyright and related rights in the Asian Pacific Region;
To contribute to the work of the World Intellectual Property Organisation, the World Trade Organisation, UNESCO, and other international bodies active in the field of copyright and related rights;
To ensure that the needs and concerns of the people of the Asian Pacific Region are taken into consideration by the international community in all discussions and international negotiations concerning such rights.

亞太版權協會(APCA)成立於2011年11月15日,目前的會員包括來自澳大利亞、中華人民共和國、斐濟、香港特別行政區、印尼、日本、韓國、馬來西亞、諾魯、紐西蘭、菲律賓、俄羅斯、瓦努阿圖和越南。
APCA的目標包括以下幾點:
提供一個關於版權和相關權益的討論平臺;
通過立法、對話和教育,在亞太地區促進版權和相關權益的維護和發展;
為世界智慧財產權組織、世界貿易組織、聯合國教科文組織以及其他在版權和相關權益領域活躍的國際機構作出貢獻;
確保在涉及此類權益的所有討論和國際談判中,國際社會考慮到亞太地區人民的需求和關切。
