CityUHK JD/ LLB and Melbourne Law Masters
Collaborative Programme with Melbourne University on CityUHK Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Juris Doctor (JD)/ Melbourne Law Masters (MLM)
The collaborative programme will provide opportunity to JD and LLB students to start on an Law Masters with the Melbourne University. Details are as below:
A. Eligibility

Successful students will be admitted to the Melbourne Law Masters.
Number of places: A total of two students (LLB and JD combined)
Proposed study time (CityUHK LLB or JD + Melbourne Law Masters):
- CityUHK LLB and Melbourne Law Masters in four years (3+1);
- CityUHK JD and Melbourne Law Masters in three years (2+1)
B. Credit Transfer and Recognition
Upon successful completion of the Melbourne Law Masters, the credit for a full year at the programme will be recognised by SLW in fulfillment of the CityUHK LLB programme or JD programme.
The Melbourne Law Masters will be conferred after the conferral of the CityUHK LLB or JD programme.

D. Duration
The start date will be in July. The end date is somewhat flexible, since most of the subjects are one week intensive, so the students can physically leave Melbourne once they completed their eight subjects. Usually, students are able to finish their eight subjects by May/June.
E. Tuition Fees and Other Financial Matters
Indicative total course fee for 2025
AUD$56,000
Students shall additionally pay on their own the costs for accommodation, food, transportation, travel insurances, personal expenses, visa, residence permit, as well as all costs related to their mobility.
For studying in Melbourne Law School, students must purchase an appropriate health insurance which covers medical expenses (illness and accident) including international repatriation, and a civil liability insurance covering them for their whole stay in Australia that meets the University’s Requirements.
F. Accommodation
Students should also take care of all other expenses related to the cost of living.
