Outstanding Research Awards 2024

City University of Hong Kong’s School of Law is a leading global law school, excelling in research and professional education. The Outstanding Research Award Scheme was initiated to recognise and reward research excellence at CityUHK, to emphasise the School’s commitment to fostering an environment conducive to high quality research at an internationally competitive level, and to enhance the School’s performance in the delivery of our research agenda.

The winner of the Outstanding Research Award 2024 is Prof Virginia Harper Ho (Professor, School of Law, City University of Hong Kong). The title of Prof Harper Ho’s article is “Beyond Transplant: A Network Innovation Model of Transnational Regulatory Change” (American Journal of Comparative Law 71, 2023).

Meanwhile, the Junior Award goes to Prof Huang Tao (Assistant Professor, School of Law, City University of Hong Kong). The title of his article is “Free Speech Capability” (37 Harvard Human Rights Journal 1, 2024).
