Duties
Provide leadership in research in the one of the following themes: (i) pollution monitoring and control, (ii) eco-safety and environmental risk assessment of chemical contaminants, and (iii) ecosystem responses to pollution and other environmental stresses, as well as ecological restoration for coastal marine environments; support the mission of excellence in research; establish and maintain robust research programmes; and carry out duties to facilitate the development of the State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution.
Requirements
A PhD degree with strong background in Environmental Chemistry/Environmental Toxicology/Water Quality Monitoring/Environmental Engineering/Molecular Ecology/Biology/ Toxicology/Environmental DNA/Mathematical/Statistical Modelling for Ecological Studies/Marine Ecology/Ecological Restoration. Relevant professional and research experience and an outstanding record of high-quality research and publications are required. Experience in innovation and entrepreneurship would be an advantage.
Candidates
with a proven record of distinguished scholarly accomplishment including substantial professional and research experience, evidence of research funding, and demonstrated leadership in the field with an international standing will be considered for the post of Research Associate Professor.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
