Introduction

CareER is the 1st charity for higher-educated students/graduates with disabilities / SEN in Hong Kong. This year, CareER is honoured to launch the CareER Scholarship Programme. The scholarship aims to give recognition to students with disabilities / special educational needs (SEN) in the pursuit of excellence in serving the community and achievement in extra-curricular activities and their willingness to challenge themselves to experience new exposure. Academic achievement is NOT the main focus in terms of selection criteria.

There will be 8 successful Post-Secondary applicants awarded HKD15,000 and another 8 successful Senior-Secondary applicants awarded HKD8,000 as an encouragement to support them in achieving goals. Each awardee is entitled to join the 6-month Mentorship Programme that will be matched to one of the CareER alumni as their mentor in accordance with their disabilities/ SENs and career interests.

Eligibility

Please do not hesitate to recommend to students who are eligible to below criteria: 

●      Any students and graduates with disabilities / SEN regardless of race and HKID holder
●      Currently studying in or graduated from all UGC and self-funded institutes/degrees in Hong Kong (for Post-Secondary applicants)
●      Currently studying in Mainstream and Special Schools (for Senior-Secondary Form 4 to 6 applicants)
