2022 MTR Summer Internship Programme

Introduction

This internship program is designed for local tertiary-level students to work in a fast-changing working environment, with different disciplines such as railway operations, marketing, property management and business development and other support units. MTR will try to match the position according to your background and abilities if you are successfully enrolled.

 

 

Eligibility

- Students pursuing a Degree / Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or equivalent 

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills 

- Good communication skills in English and Chinese 

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

- Knowledge of other programming and data analysis tools is an advantage 

- Attend all the trainings provided by CityU

Quota 

Around 10 quotas for all the UGC funded universities (A separate queue for students with SEN)

4. A half-day (4 hours) interview skills workshop [Compulsory] 19 March 2022 (Saturday, 9:00 - 13:00)
5. A half-day (4 hours) interview skills practice [Compulsory] 20 March 2022 (Sunday, 9:00 - 13:00)
6. Interview of candidates by MTR via Teams meeting   Mid-April 2022
7. Release result (Email will be sent to students) To be confirmed
8. A pre-internship training workshop (2 hours) [Compulsory]  18 June 2022 (Saturday morning)

9. Start of Internship [Compulsory]

July - August 2022
10. Mid-evaluation of internship programme (2 hours)  [Compulsory]  30 July 2022 (Saturday morning)
