The FANs Awards

Commencing the 2007/08 academic year, Mr. Andrew Fan Ka Fai, a dedicated alumnus, has donated to the University to establish a number of awards for CityUHK students. With effective from 2015/16 academic year, the Scheme is renamed from "Andrew Fan Student Award Scheme" to "The FANs Awards" and three awards are available. Details are as follows:
 

Top Outstanding Student Leader Awards

The award aims to:

• recognise students' outstanding leadership as demonstrated by their contribution to the University or the community at large
• encourage students to assume responsibilities and develop leadership ability by contributing to the University or the community during their years of study and serve as leaders in the community after graduation
• promote the caring and giving culture in the University

Academic Improvement Awards for Student Leaders

The award aims to:

• encourage students who make contributions and efforts to serve the University or the community at large to strive for further improvement in their academic studies
• promote the caring and giving culture in the University community

The award aims to:

• encourage non-local students to actively participate and assume responsibilities in campus life, and contribute to the University and local community at large
