何繼善院士 (Academician He Jishan)

何繼善，應用地球物理學家。原籍湖南省湘鄉縣，出生於湖南省瀏陽縣。一九六O年畢業於長春地質學院。中南大學教授。一九九四年當選為中國工程院院士。

何院士創立和發展了以偽隨機信號電磁法和雙頻激電法為特色的資源勘探地球物理的理論和方法，被國際上譽為應用地球物理界的一重大事件。發明和研製出一系列具國際先進水準的儀器，其中雙頻激電儀僅一九八O年至一九八五年間就創價值四百一十八萬元，他的理論、方法和儀器在全國應用，已找到一大批礦產，據專家鑒定已探明儲量計算，潛在經濟價值超過八百億元，其系列儀器在地勘和工程勘察中得到廣泛應用，獲得了國內外同行專家承認與高度評價。創立「擬合流場法」探測堤防、大壩、礦山、建築物等的隱蔽滲漏，在全國得到推廣應用。

何院士自幼喜愛書法與楹聯，長時間擔任教育部大學生文化素質教育委員會委員，湖南省書法家協會顧問，積極在工科大學生中提倡人文和書法教育。他筆墨求緣，以文會友，與書、畫、楹聯界的學者們交誼深厚，深得他們的薰陶，久而久之也有了自己的一些心得，尤其在嵌字聯書法頗具特色。

Professor He Jishan is a famous geophysicist, vice chairman of board of Chinese Institute of Geophysics, vice chairman of board of Nonferrous Metals Society of China, life member of U.S. Society of Exploration Geophysicists. He was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1994.

His research interest lies in theory, method and technique and observatory system of geophysics. Professor He has accomplished about 50 research programs, and has been rewarded National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, National Prize for Invention and several other provincial and ministry awards. He is also a holder of the national title of Expert with Outstanding Contribution.

Professor He has published many journal papers and has authored a number of books including 《海洋电磁法原理》; 《广域电磁法和伪随机信号电法》 and 《双频激电法》.
