Just wrapped up an incredible afternoon at the 'Sharing on CityU Research Capabilities and Potential Collaborations with Thailand Tech Startups / Companies' event! Our minds are buzzing with fresh insights and innovative ideas.
From the development of waste biorefineries to AI's role in detecting chicken distress, the wealth of knowledge shared by our experts was truly impressive. Faculty members from the School of Energy and Environment, Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Chemistry and Department of Materials Science and Engineering highlighted their research with commercialization potentials. Four HK Tech 300 start-up teams showcased their incredible tech potential with food labels for freshness (Zenxtag), high-performance copper based filter (Seth Biotech), tech for tackling microplastic pollution (Sprial-X) and the blue carbon management technology with the use of algae (Alcarbo).
A warm thank you to our Thai guests led by Dr. Akeanong Jangbua of NSTDA and Ms. Chompoonuch Anusardsittikit of Thailand Science Park for their valuable contributions. Their presence added a unique perspective to the discussions and we're thrilled about the potential for future collaborations. Thank you HK Science Park for taking the Thai startup group to visit CityU today.
It was wonderful to see the participants engage so actively during the event for exchanges of ideas which will probably lead to more innovative collaborations in the future.
