Henna DIY Workshop

Join us for a beginner workshop on henna art design to learn about the history of henna as an ancient form of body art and the various cultural significance of its origin in South Asia, Middle East, North Africa and other regions. Traditionally, henna is used during spiritual, social, and religious occasions, like weddings, baby blessings, birthdays and graduations, etc. It remains as authentic ritual passed from rich and varied cultures.

With henna set to be nominated to UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage in 2023, the Cultural Exchange Oasis is pleased to offer the Henna Art Workshop to provide opportunity to CityU communities to learn more about history, cultural and traditional significance of henna. Come and join us to enjoy a demonstration and experiential session under the guidance of an experienced henna instructor.
