Dr. Steven Wang's project on "Fast-Track Vented Enclosure System" has been visited by The Commissioner, Ms Rebecca Pun for local anti-epidemic innovation and technology solutions
The Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, Ms Rebecca Pun visited the fast-track vented enclosure system for COVID-19 patients in hospital developed by Dr. Steven Wang. The system is currently under clincal trial at the Clinical Simulation Centre in School of Nursing in the University of Hong Kong. The system has also been clinically tested in the 24-hour Outpatient and Emergency Department of Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong since February this year. As the system design is simple and can be quickly set up, it is believed that the system may be widely adopted in venues such as hospitals and residential care homes in the future.

A CityU research team has recently designed a structured thermal armour that achieves efficient liquid cooling even over 1,000℃, fundamentally solving a 266-year-old challenge presented by the Leidenfrost effect.
