Congratulations to Dr Zonglong Zhu and his PhD students and postdoc have recently published a groundbreaking work in Science few days ago under the title “Organometallic-functionalized interfaces for highly efficient inverted perovskite solar cells”.
Dr. Zhu’s team and Imperial College London (Imperial College) have jointly developed new, highly efficient and stable perovskite solar cells which are based on a ferrocene-based metallic compound, and have higher power conversion efficiency and good stability compared to conventional silicon-based solar cells. It is anticipated such a breakthrough invention will greatly accelerate the commercialization of perovskite photovoltaic technology, providing a promising alternative to silicon solar cells.
