  1. CGPA Requirement: Minimum CGPA of 3.3/4.0 or 3.55/4.3

  2. Students should take courses offered by Faculty of Engineering. Registration for non-engineering courses is not guaranted and is subjected to approval of the course offering department.

Financial Support

Financial support is available from the University. Please visit the Global Engagement Office's website. (For Local full-time students on government-funded programmes only).

Budgeting:

Though you are exempted from paying tuition fee to your host institution, you are required to remain enrolled at CityU by paying tuition fee and the study-related fees. To prepare your exchange studies, you may consider the following expenses:

  1. Travel expenses (including local transportation costs)
  2. Accommodation, food and other daily expenses
  3. Medical and travel insurance
  4. Passport and visa fees
  5. Study-related fees required by your host institution
  6. Personal spending

Course Plan and Credit Transfer

Before Departure:
A feasible study plan ensures you to progress towards graduation smoothly. Exchange students are required to consult your Programme Leader regarding the suitability of the proposed exchange study and procedures relating to your application. The discussion should include your tentative course plan, credit transfer arrangements and FYP Progress Plan. Students are requested to complete and return a duly signed 'Study Plan' to the General Office at least ONE MONTH before your departure.


While on Exchange:

  • Keep your exchange course syllabus and relevant documents.
  • To support the credit transfer application upon your return to Cityu, you are required to submit an efficient transcript issued by the host institution. You may also required to submit course materials, outlines, course syllabus, and other relevant documents. So, please keep on those documents.

Return from Exchange:
After completing your exchange study, you are required to attach the official transcript and other documentation to the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering for consideration and endorsement.
