Overview
The Final Year Project – Impact Creator Award aims to identify and commend exceptional projects that create an impact on students’ learning experience and/or campus enhancement. This Award is designed to honour projects that exemplify creativity and demonstrate problem-solving abilities that make meaningful changes to the University!
Eligibility
- All undergraduate students undertaking a Final Year Project during the academic year of the nomination deadline.
Selection Criteria
While acknowledging academic credit, this Award also prioritises the following criteria:
- Innovation and Creativity: The project should demonstrate originality and uniqueness.
- Impact on Student Learning Experience: The project has the potential to enhance the student learning experience, such as improving access to resources, fostering collaboration, or enhancing engagement.
- University-wide Impact: The project has the potential to improve the physical or social environment of the campus, addressing issues such as sustainability, accessibility, or community building.
- Feasibility/Sustainability: The project is realistic, well-planned, and can be implemented within a given timeframe and resources.
Priority will be given to projects that effectively address the following pressing issues outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- SDG3: Good health and well-being
- SDG7: Affordable and clean energy
- SDG9: Industry innovation and infrastructure
- SDG11: Sustainable cities and communities
- SDG12: Responsible consumption & production
- SDG13: Climate Action
Prize
- The student of each winning project will receive cash vouchers totalling HK$1,000.
- The winning project may have the opportunity to be implemented on campus, providing a real-world platform to bring the ideas to life!
Nomination Procedures
Nominations should be submitted through the Colleges and Schools. Students interested in being nominated may contact their Final Year Project supervisors.
