Harmony School Life Competition
To further expand and promote an anti-bullying culture among a large number of schools, the Harmony School Life Competition was held each year from 2009 to 2011. It comprised several sub-competitions: a slogan competition, a comics competition and a drama (script writing and performance) competition. The overall theme of the competition was ‘to enhance respect and acceptance among students and create a harmonious school together’. Participants: The competition was open to all primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. Participating schools were encouraged to report their successes to the judges of the competition. Criteria: The efforts paid by schools in cultivating an anti-bullying culture were evaluated according to the "C. A. R. E." criteria: -C (Commitment): The degree of commitment by a school to facilitating an anti-bullying culture; -A (Attainability): The efficacy of a school’s attempt to facilitate an anti-bullying culture; -R (Resource): The extent of a school’s utilisation of resources to cultivate an anti-bullying culture; -E (Experience-Sharing): The extent of a school’s sharing of successful experiences in cultivating anti-bullying culture. Prizes: The primary schools and the secondary schools were assessed separately. Awards were given for: 1. The Most Harmonious School2. The Most Harmonious Teaching Team Prize 3. The Most Harmonious Home-School Cooperation 44 schools participated in this competition. The Award List
