Library Renovation - Exhibition and Survey

Thanks to the support of our users, the Library Renovation Consultation Forum was successfully held on February 13, 2007. At the forum, the University Librarian has presented the challenges the library is now facing, the changing pattern of the space usage as well as the proposed space management strategies. Our strategic space planning consultant Mr. Mark Chan, an expert in library spatial planning has also presented his analysis of the library layout and two concepts of design schemes. We are very pleased that both students and staff members shared their views and recognized the Library’s spatial issues and the need to re-plan and reorganize.

In order to collect more valuable comments and suggestions from the University community, an exhibition on our spatial reorganization project will be launched from March 9, 2007, at Library Lobby. An online survey has been designed to collect data on your usage of library facilities, preferences in the future renovation, and your current satisfaction level to help us to do space planning. You can also obtain a hard copy at the exhibition venue.
