Additional Information

Students are required to complete two mandatory student exchanges in two of the three regions of the world (Europe/Americas/Asia Pacific) outside of Hong Kong. This is a graduation requirement. Normally, the first exchange will take place in Year 3 (BBAU4)/ Year 2 (BBAU3) Semester A; the second exchange will take place in Year 3 (BBAU4)/ Year 2 (BBAU3) Semester B. Variations to this pattern will be handled on an exceptional basis by the Major Leader. In order to participate in an exchange, students must achieve, by the end of Year 2 (BBAU4)/ Year 1 (BBAU3) Semester A, a minimum CGPA of 2.5 (for institutional-level exchange applicants). But, for college-level exchange applicants, they are required to achieve a good academic track record with a minimum CGPA of 2.8. Students who fail to achieve the minimum exchange application requirements in terms of the minimum CGPA of 2.5, they will either have to defer their graduation (i.e. until such time as their CGPA reaches the minimum requirements and they are qualified to undertake the two exchanges) or will have to switch to a different major where there are no exchange requirements. Students who apply to transfer to the GBSM major will be subject to the above-mentioned requirements as indicated in this document.
