Prof. Yu HUANG was invited to deliver a Keynote Lecture on 4 July 2023 at the 19th World Congress of Basic & Clinical Pharmacology 2023 (WCP2023) held in Glasgow, Scotland during 2–7 July 2023. WCP2023 is organised by British Pharmacological Society, a member society of the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR). IUPHAR World Congress is held every four years. During the meeting, Prof. Huang had cordial conversations with Prof. David Webb (WCP2023 President), Prof. Clive Page (current President of British Pharmacological Society), Prof. Valérie Schini-Kerth (Chair of Pharmacology of Natural Product Section, IUPHAR), Prof. Andreas Papapetropoulos (President of the Federation of European Pharmacological Societies) and Prof. Péter Ferdinandy (new Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Pharmacology).
Prof. Huang has also served as the Corresponding Member for the Nomenclature and Standards Committee of the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (NC-IUPHAR). He is currently the Jeanie Hu Professor of Biomedical Sciences and the Head of Department of Biomedical Sciences at City University of Hong Kong.
