Professor Wang Jiangyu, Director of CCCL, published a commentary on Eileen Gu’s nationality and the Chinese nationality Law for Lianhe Zaobao’s legal column, Singapore’s Flagship Chinese newspaper. China does not allow dual citizenship, but Professor Wang explained that the formulation of the provisions of the Chinese nationality law is indeed simple and rather vague, and contains a variety of possibilities.
