Professor Julien Chaisse, an associate member of CCCL, explains that the decline in global FDI is expected to bottom out in 2021, and the real recovery will start in 2022. We will have to see if the epidemic resumes in Europe and the UK in the autumn. On the bright side, strong transaction activity in the technology and pharmaceutical industries should support investment flows linked to mergers and acquisitions.
