CCCL Director Professor Wang Jiangyu discussed several legal issues as well as the international relations aspects of the Meng Wanzhou case currently ongoing under court proceedings in Canada. He observed that, at the current stage, it is up to the Canadian court in charge to decide whether Meng has a good case to be released. However, political considerations arising out geopolitical tensions may eventually decide the final decision of the Canadian government.
