Professor Wai Yee Wan, a core member of RCCL, has successfully obtained a Collaborative Research Fund (CRF) grant award of HK$3,114,629 for her multi-disciplinary project “Hong Kong Insolvency and Restructuring Law and Policy in Times of COVID-19 and Beyond” which aims at evaluating the effectiveness of the current insolvency and restructuring law and policy in Hong Kong in rescuing otherwise economically viable businesses that have been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is by far the largest research fund obtained by the School of Law and RCCL. While Professor Wan is the Principal Investigator of this project, other project members include Professor Linda Li (CityU Political Science), Professor Kelvin Low (CityU Law), Professor Phyllis Mo (CityU Accounting), Associate Professor Yaxuan Qi (CityU Finance), Associate Professor Kelvin Kwok (HKU Law), and Mr Alwin Chan (HKU Law). The project promises high impact for the academic and policy communities in Hong Kong and the region.
