Professor Wang Jiangyu, Director of the Centre for Chinese and Comparative Law, spoke at the 2020 Annual WTO Conference of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law on “The US-China Trade War: Implications on WTO’s Dispute Settlement System”. He discussed the battle of models in the ongoing US-China trade war and evaluated the impact of the trade war on the reform of WTO’s dispute settlement system. He also explained why the general direction of China’s developmental path is still driven by economic liberalization.
