Professor Julien Chaisse, Associate Member of the Centre for Chinese and Comparative Law, was interviewed by Fraser Tennant of the Financier Worldwide Magazine, discussing the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), a free trade agreement (FTA) in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region between the 10 member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) — Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam — and their five FTA partners — China, Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand. The RCEP is reaching its final stages, with officials aiming to sign the agreement in February or March 2020.
