Mission

The purpose of the Lab for Impact Financing and Transformation (LIFT) is to study and advocate the use of diverse financing strategies so that societies can leverage public and private capital more effectively to facilitate the effective accomplishment of UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and desirable economic and social impacts.

These financing strategies include but are not limited to taxation, regulatory fees, user charges, debt financing, philanthropic donation, corproate investment, and grants. LIFT plans to explore how these tools can be used more innovatively and how their fiscal and policy impacts can be assessed more accurately and cost-effectively.
