Mr WONG San Kui, our BSAP Year-2 student, who teamed up with students from Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, has won the 2nd Runner-up in Bank of China HK FinTech Hackathon 2018, with a theme: “Future Bank and AI”.
The winning project, supervised by Dr Ray Cheung, is titled “PocketIn”, and it aims to solve the challenge of money management and maintain personal portfolio by using the most intelligent AI financial assistant, Artificial Intelligence Simulated Humanoid Assistant (AISHA). Apart from a cash prize of HK$30,000, the team is entitled to a fast-track interview opportunity to Cyberport Creative Micro Fund (CCMF) or Cyberport Incubation Programme.
Organized by the Bank of China (HK), the competition aims to encourage students to create new and innovative ideas to optimize investment opportunities and improve banking services with the use of AI technology.
