首屆“香港英才北京行”活動成功舉辦 [北京日報] 2023-09-23
In a significant move to foster academic and research collaborations, Prof Zhedong Zhang and Prof Yiming Zhong represented the City University of Hong Kong on the “2023 Beijing Tour for Hong Kong Talents,” which spanned from September 18 to 22. The representatives were composed of young, talented professors and students from six leading universities in Hong Kong.
During their seven-day trip, they visited prestigious institutions and landmarks such as Peking University, the Institute of Physics’ Huairou Campus, the Beijing Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Applications, the Beijing Graphene Institute, and Baidu Corporation.
The tour also provided an excellent platform for the participants to engage in insightful discussions with Beijing’s officials and talents. The conversations were centered around various research-related topics, with a particular focus on enhancing collaborations between Hong Kong and Beijing.
This initiative marks a significant step towards strengthening ties between Hong Kong and Beijing in the field of research and development.
