Mr Henry Tsui has started his career in the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) since 2017 as the project manager of pioneer WOW (Walking with Omura’s Whale Programme) project, under the Jockey Club Enhancing Youth Empathy Project through Immersive Visualisation. He joins the Centre for Applied One Health Research and Policy Advice as Executive Officer I in January 2022.

Henry obtained his Master of Arts in Communication and New Media in the CityU in 2014. Since then, he stepped into the field of aquatic animal biology and marine conservation, a totally different field than his major. In 2023, he received further professional training on postmortem investigation and obtained his Certificate of Advanced Studies in Forensic Imaging and Virtopsy in the University of Zurich. Henry has led local and international aquatic animal deployments for the Aquatic Animal Virtopsy Lab (AAVL) in CityU. He develops and disseminates public relations materials, including press releases, media packets, feature stories for the AAVL website and annual report, social media content and internal communication pieces. He also assists in field study for drone flight and cetacean photo identification, logistics arrangements and data management for the virtopsy and necropsy of cetaceans and sea turtles, as part of the Hong Kong Aquatic Animal Health Assessment Programme in AAVL. Henry oversees the grants and contracts administration, and project financial management in support of conservation medicine and related research and outreach activities.
