Founded in 2007, the TUYF Charitable Trust (the Trust) aims to promote research in the Asia region, especially in areas of medical science, environmental science, oceanography and Algebra in Mathematics. Dedicated to strengthening Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) governance, palliative and end-of-life care, its mission and goal is to contribute to the community through the promotion of education, teaching, learning, arts, science and academic research. With the Trust’s funding support, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) conducted research on the “Four-fingered Threadfin Fish” with great achievement in 2021. In 2022, the Trust continues to support CityU in the establishment of a “Named Chair Professorship in Oceanography” to help CityU attract world-class scholars in advanced research and professional education.
