Responsibilities of Each Individual Laboratory Personnel
All students/staffs working in laboratories and computer labs are required to complete the safety training organized by both CityU and MSE.
Staff / students who have not completed the safety training shall not be allowed to work in laboratories.
If you need to work in laboratories, you should:
- Complete CityU Online Safety Training
- Complete MSE Safety Induction Training
- Complete Risk Assessment Form*
- Keep all records
- Submit All Records to MSE Dept
*Review your risk assessment from time to time if necessary. Risk assessment should be performed regularly or not less than once in a year. For details, please visit Risk Management and Five steps to risk assessment.
Smart Lock Registration for PhD students / research staff
Application for G2710 – G2750, B2605 – B2790 lab (MSE lab near lift 3, blue zone) and R7143 - R7183 (MSE lab at BOC-7/F), please prepare the documents below.
- CSE/FMO Online safety print screen record
- MSE induction training record
- Risk assessment form
- Smart lock registration form
- Staff/Student card
Upload all required document via Smart Lock Online Registration Platform.
