The Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC) was thrilled to welcome a vibrant community of prospective applicants during the CityUHK Info Day on 5 October 2024. The energy was palpable as visitors explored our booths, engaging with faculty and current students who shared their passion for veterinary medicine and the life sciences. Throughout the day, our admissions booth buzzed with energy, featuring engaging exhibitions, admission talks and facility tours.
Attendees were particularly intrigued by JCC’s Flagship Programme, Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, the first and only professional veterinary degree in Hong Kong and Asia accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council. Our pioneering programme not only prepares students for a fulfilling career in veterinary medicine but also emphasizes hands-on experience with a special focus on animal welfare, emerging infectious diseases, food safety and aquatic animal health.
Many prospective students showed enthusiasm for our innovative BSc in Biomedical Sciences and BSc in Biological Sciences programmes. These degrees are designed to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for careers in the rapidly evolving fields of biomedical and biological sciences.
