Switching of Major (for Year One bachelor's degree students)
Specific Requirements:
- Applicants must fulfil the BVM-specific Minimum Entrance Requirements, especially the subject requirement of English, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.
- The English requirement is a TOEFL score of 600 (paper-based test) or 100 (Internet-based test) or an overall IELTS score of 7 or levels equivalent to those specified above (other acceptable English Test).
- Applicants must also meet non-academic requirements. For details please refer to the Non-Academic Requirements page.
- Potential applicants need to be aware that a strong academic record will be necessary.
- All students must begin their BVM study at Year 1, however credit transfer for individual courses may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- The BVM ONLY accept applications for a change of home major and declaring a second major in Semester A. Applicants must be aware of the Maximum Credit Units Permitted and ensure that they do not exceed it.
- Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview and the interview score as well as the applicant's CGPA will be considered when considering an offer.
