Susanna Taylor is a Scientific Officer for the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences.
Susanna qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the UK in 2006. She worked at the Royal Veterinary College for 6 years as one of their first specialised anaesthesia nurses. She became Head Anaesthesia Nurse where she was involved with undergraduate clinical teaching for veterinary and veterinary nurse students as well as clinical and management duties. She gained her Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) status in Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2010 and regularly lectured at veterinary conferences and CPD events.
Susanna moved to Hong Kong in 2014 and became involved with the formation of the Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing course at City U. Susanna has been a module leader since, teaching anaesthesia, emergency and critical care, surgical nursing and theatre practice. During this time Susanna has gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Education from the Royal Veterinary College and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Susanna has a particular interest in developing clinical skill resources and is involved with the development of the Clinical Skills Lab at the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences.
