Microsoft Copilot for Enterprise: Now Available for All Staff and Students

by Joe Lee

Apart from CityU ChatGPT, there is another free powerful Generative AI tool now available for CityU’s students and staff called Microsoft Copilot for Enterprise (Copilot). It is included in the Microsoft 365 (M365) license at no extra cost and has no monthly usage caps. This means you can engage with the tool as frequently as needed without worrying about hitting limits.

Copilot offers a range of powerful features designed to enhance productivity and creativity. One standout capability is its ability to analyse uploaded images and documents. Whether you need to extract text from a scanned document, analyse the content of an image, or even generate insights from complex data, Copilot can handle it all with ease. It can even create images upon request, making it a versatile tool for presentations, reports, and creative projects.

Both students and staff can benefit greatly from using Copilot. Students can use Copilot to assist with research, draft essays, and even generate study materials. Staff members can leverage it for creating lecture content, grading assignments, and streamlining various administrative duties more efficiently.

Copilot also offers a standalone paid version – Microsoft Copilot for M365 (M365 Copilot), that integrates seamlessly with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other M365 applications. However, this version requires an additional license, which needs to be approved by HoD separately. Staff members interested in accessing this version should reach out to their departments’ DNA.

We strongly encourage everyone to explore the capabilities of Copilot and discover how it can transform your daily tasks. With its robust features and seamless integration into the M365 ecosystem, Copilot is designed to assist you in your everyday work. To get started quickly, open your browser, visit this link and then log in your CityU Microsoft account. Copilot is also available for download on iPhone/iPad and Android devices.
