The aim of our Super Bamboo is to meet strong demand for a material that is green but strong and functional. We improved one of nature’s strongest materials using a special chemical treatment and mechanical processing methods. We developed “Super Bamboo”, a lightweight material that is 3X stronger than normal bamboo and is even stronger than titanium alloy. Furthermore, unlike existing bamboo processing methods, Super Bamboo emits no formaldehyde, does not require toxic adhesives, and is expected to reduce costs by 35% compared to current bamboo processing methods. We aim to collaborate with a bamboo products company and create advanced prototypes for application in furniture, construction, and other high-end load-bearing products and industries.
