Smart Ocean IOT

Small, low power, intelligent buoys for ocean wave monitoring

The small buoy to be developed is a new ocean wave monitoring system that is lightweight, low power and intelligent. The system integrates an acceleration sensor to obtain the motion data of the waves, and uses artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms and an AI edge computing chip to estimate the wave direction spectrum. After lossless data compression processing, the data will be transmitted back via satellite communication to obtain accurate global wave monitoring. In the future, this system will be developed in the direction of clustering and diversification, providing technical support for the establishment of ocean IOT technology.
