FoodX is one of the first blockchain food safety solutions that allows transaction partners to confidently and securely share food information, creating a more transparent and trustworthy global food supply chain. From farmers and processors to retailers and consumers, the blockchain solution ensures transparency for the expanding food system. FoodX empowers users to meet the new standard for transparency and trust by enabling safer food, a longer product shelf life, reduced waste, faster traceability, and better access to shared information,. The solution provides authorized users with immediate access to actionable food supply chain data – from farm to store and ultimately, to the consumer. The complete history and current location of any food item, along with its accompanying information (i.e. certification, test data and temperature data) can be readily available in seconds. Users can quickly locate items along the supply chain in real time by querying food product identifiers, such as the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) or Universal Product Code (UPC), using the product name, and filtering for date. All data is stored on blockchain ledgers, protected with the highest level of commercially available, tamper-resistant encryption.
