dpAuth is an authentication ecosystem that integrates SSI (Self-sovereign Identity) issuance, certificate issuance, and verification products into one systematic solution.
Currently, most enterprises perform background checks for job seekers to validate their background authenticity, but this takes a lot of time, up to three weeks, and is very costly. dpAuth is developing a solution to simplify this tedious procedure.
Using blockchain smart-contract technology, dpAuth invented a solution that allows the bulk issuance of authentic SSI and certificates, and a rapid certification verification process. By storing all data and executing every process on blockchain, dpAuth effectively reduces the time and cost required for background checks, and guarantees the accuracy of applicants' background information. It also ensures the authenticity of certificate holders, condenses paper-printed documents to reduce storage costs, and protects individual privacy.
dpAuth is also tackling the current problem of Single Point of Failure (SPOF). Current Digital Signing systems provides an online authentication solution, but if the centralised service provider is down, the whole system will collapse and the authentication service will no longer work. In contrast, the identities and certificates issued by dpAuth protocols are deployed into decentralised distributed ledgers as smart contracts. This ecosystem works forever and never fails, even if dpAuth is down.
We expeect the dpAuth soution to enable a true Web of Trues (WoT), which will effectually facilitate the background check process, providing a substantial amount of value to individuals, enterprises and society. Ultimately, we hope our authentication solution can be applied worldwide to contribute to humankind's technological improvement.
