CoolRadiant Technology

High-performance intelligent Radiant Cooling System (Hi-RCS)

Radiant heating/cooling is a kind of air conditioning technology that does not require a heat transfer medium (such as air). Compared to traditional air cooling technology, radiant cooling has become increasingly popular in recent years due to its application advantages, including reduced energy consumption, improved thermal comfort, simple and effective zone control, space saving and noise reduction.

This Hi-RCS (High-performance intelligent Radiant Cooling System) project is an original radiant cooling device with revolutionary improvements based on the common air conditioning device. Compared with traditional air cooling and radiant cooling technologies, Hi-RCS has high cooling performance, high anti-condensation performance, good thermal environment control performance, high energy saving potential, easy manufacturing and installation, and a wide range of application scenarios. We therefore propose to achieve the following objectives focusing on Hi-RCS:

  1. Structure and control system design and optimisation. In the design stage, we will build the theoretical model and analyse the parameters. To achieve intelligent automatic control of Hi-RCS, we will construct and test a control system using related software.
  2. Prototype and integrated system construction and testing. We will contruct and test a Hi-RCS prototype in the laboratory to verify the performance of the productand analyse the operating parameters. The control system hardware will be installed on the prototype to verify the control performance and operational stability.
  3. Manufacturing and commercialisation. We will contact appropriate suppliers to optimise the structure, achieve modular production and communicate with architectural and construction companies to promote the application of the product.
